Jeff asked if I could make something for his wife Judith, a breast cancer survivor, but he did not want the usual ribbon. For months I pondered but nothing seemed worthy, till I read a post from another friend battling cancer, Teresa. Her words about her faith that she will beat her cancer and the love and support of her family and friends, Judith's courage and Jeff's devotion and love for his wife finally gave me the idea for The Survivor's Cross. Thank you Jeff, Judith and Teresa for getting me involved in the fight to battle this and other terrible diseases. You inspire me as an artist and a human being. This design is dedicated to honor all those affected by cancer and other debilitating diseases. Not just those battling the disease but those providing the care and support. The Survivor Cross is not just for those Survivors that beat their disease or live with it everyday, but also for those Survivors left behind to carry on remembering their loved one. The Heart represents the Love and Support of Family & Friends resting atop a Cross symbolizing Faith & Hope wrapped by an Awareness Ribbon. Thank you, Gregory P. Segura
